Tapa Kapa Barkcloth Convertible Expandable Shoulder Bag Purse

This convertible handbag is handmade in Hawaii using a custom print on recycled canvas. The design is typical of the prints used in Polynesian barkcloth (tapa or kapa) making.

The interior is of this bag is made of black nylon pack cloth. The lining features a divided slip pocket and a hidden zippered pocket.

The base and flap closure are made from black PVC coated polyester canvas. The base is stiffened with a strong polyester material that provides shape and flexibility. The top of the bag can be secured closed with the vinyl flap and silvertone flip clasp.

Small brass D-rings are hiding under the side zipper seams. These allow the owner to secure a 1" black polypropylene webbing strap that turns this handbag into a shoulder bag or a crossbody bag.

The handles are made from 18" polypropylene webbing with PVC canvas grips.

The exterior fabric used in this bag wears well against exposure to occasional droplets of moisture but is not completely waterproof. This bag should not be washed. Lightly ironing the front and back panels occasionally will help to restore its shape. NOTE: Do not allow a hot iron to touch any polypropylene surfaces.

Since this is handmade in a home-based work area on consumer-grade machines, buyers can expect minor imperfections.
