The Great Wave as painted by Hokusai depicts an enormous wave threatening boats off the coast of Sagami Bay of the Kanagawa Prefecture. An interpretation of this classic scene - minus the view of Mount Fujiyama - is printed repeatedly on recycled canvas. This material is produced using plastic bottles that can’t be recycled a second time.

The exterior base is a navy blue PVC-coated polyester canvas that also keeps liquids out of this bag. Just wipe the bag down if something splashes or spills on it.

A sturdy 14” separating zipper keeps things securely inside.

The interior of the bag is made of sturdy light brown PVC-coated polyester canvas that resists moisture. A zippered mesh pouch secures items that need to be separated and retrieved quickly. An additional mesh slip pocket adds extra interior organization.

Two large zippered compartments built into two of the outside panels allow quick access to items that can be retrieved without opening the bag. These 10” x 12” compartments are lined with gray nylon canvas.

This bag is completely washable. We recommend hand washing or machine washing in cold water on a gentle cycle with mild soap. It’s best to hang dry this bag and to reshape the cotton exterior with a steam iron. Avoid touching the PVC bases with a hot iron.
